Rock Art or Smoke Signals? ...

These photos were taken on Dec 19 and Dec 26 of last year. Someone, or some persons had creatively organized rocks into artistic structures or unique communication signals. Either way it was fun to spot them.

And a few more photos ...

... these taken today going east from parking area (between Flowing Wells and La Cholla) and under the Flowing Well bridge that goes over the river bed.

I'm using a Canon G10 on these walks. The SLR was just too heavy. Managing a dog or dogs, enjoying walking and taking pictures was just impossible with that heavy and awkward weight hanging on my neck. So the SLR will be relegated to more stationary shoots. The G10 offers little (or no) detail to be picked out of the dark areas of an image, but the images are good enough that walking me and the dog and picture taking at the same time is enjoyable.
